DESCRIPTION:What is a Repair Cafe?\nInstead of buying the same gadgets over and over\, how about repairing the ‘good one’ that’s been gathering dust in the corner? At repair cafes\, volunteers stand by to repair broken items brought in by the community. \nDavis Makerspace will be hosting a repair cafe to help folks get their odds and ends fixed from 11AM to 3PM and everyone is cordially invited to bring your broken bits and bobs down. Maybe we (or our tools) can help! \nThis will be an exciting location change for Davis Makerspace! This Repair Cafe event will be taking place in the Blanchard Room of the Public Library in Davis (Mary L. Stevens). Not only that\, but at this event Davis Makerspace will be partnering with Linux Users’ Group of Davis (LUGOD) for their annual Installfest. Learn more about LUGOD… \nWhat is in an Installfest?\n“An installfest is a gathering at which experienced Linux users assist less experienced users with the installation and configuration of Linux distributions\, and where Linux users can bring Linux systems to receive assistance with system problem remediation.”\n– Linux Documentation Project \nDon’t know what Linux  is?
